Finally I'm back.  So many holidays at this time of the year, and everything on a Monday.  But, until President's Day at least, I'm back.  Starting with diet talk from registered dietician Danielle Capalino.  Join us as we talk about the microbiome, the FODMAP diet, and of course, fitting into yoga pants (I am not sure anyone would want to see me in them but that is probably besides the point.)

Diet and probiotic questions? Give us a call at 1-877-NYU-DOCS.

Speaking of the abdomen

Of course, we will have GI Update (board review edition) and Ask Doctor Ira.

If you've ever had abdominal surgery, a baby, or even deconditioning to your belly, you know how hard it an be to strengthen this often problematic area of your body.  Join me and Scott Sailor, the President of the National Athletic Training Association, as we talk about that all important core.

Monday, December 19th on the Doctor Ira Breite Show on SiriusXM 110: Doctor Radio

Its the holiday season, so of course we are going to talk about stress and fat! You know it!  Starting with stress.  As you may know, recent studies have shown that life expectancy for some groups in the United States is decreasing.  Although a study a year ago showed that white middle aged Americans had a lower life expectancy than before, this latest study shows that this decline is happening pretty much across the board. Find out some of the numbers and some of things you can do about it with me and Dr. Donald Edmundson of Columbia University Medical Center's Center for Behavioral Cardiovascular Health.

We will have GI Update, where I will tell you the latest and greatest in digestive disease and answer your questions at 1-877-NYU-DOCS!

Fat. Ugg.  Why does it like ballooning up in us so much?  Find out how everyone's relationship with their own body fat is different and what you can do to help you lose the weight.  Join author Dr. Sylvia Tara as we talk about her new book, "The Secret Life of Fat."

We will end the show with Ask Doctor Ira, where you can ask me any quesitons about any medical topic at all: anything you forgot to ask your doctors ask me!  Give us a call at 1-877-NYU-DOCS or send me a tweet!
