While Thanksgiving is not known as a drinking holiday, lots of us have that relative who always seems to have a wee bit to much to drink. Or maybe a bit more. Curiously, some people seem to react severely even to a single sip. Join me as I speak with Dr. Howard Edenberg, PhD, of Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Edenberg studies the genetics of alcoholism and how alcohol exposure affects gene expression in the brain. He also helped elucidate the Alcohol Flush Reaction, where people turn blotchy or red after having a drink.
