Tomorrow, February 23rd, on the Dr. Ira Breite Show on Sirius 114/XM 119

I hope everyone is doing well. Tomorrow we have a great "recap" show where we are bringing back some of our most popular guests to speak with us further about their areas of expertise. There were so much interest, we couldn't help but to ask them back!

We're going to start off with NYU urologist Dr. Joseph Alukal. We'll be talking about testosterone therapy, human growth hormone and male potency. Perhaps you've been embarrassed to talk about this with your own physician, but we can answer your questions anonymously! Give us a call at 1-877-NYU-DOCS!

After this, we welcome back Dr. David Kloth, an anesthesiologist and interventional pain control specialist. He is the Past President of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, who will be talking to us about some of the new, minimally invasive treatments for pain.

If you have back pain, and surgery has been recommended, give Dr. Kloth and I a call at 1-877-NYU-DOCS! Share your story with us and hear if some of these new techniques may be right for you!

Sari Greaves, one of our expert dieticians will be joining us in the second hour...and she'll be bringing her whole team! Join me, Sari, fitness trainer Noelle Lusardi and weight loss specialist Dr. Deborah Neiman from "Step Ahead" in New Jersey to find out how the proper mix of diet and exercise (and maybe drugs and possibly surgery) can be used to help you lose weight!

If you, or a loved one, is struggling with weight, give us a call at 1-877-NYU-DOCS and the whole team will help you to start shedding those pounds now!!!

Tomorrow On The Doctor Ira Breite Show, Sirius 114 and XM 119

Happy President's Day! In honor of our President's, we'll start off the day by talking about our first President, George Washington. All of us have heard about his painful teeth, wooden dentures and general oral misery? What would have happened if he were with us today. Dr. Mark Wolff, DDS, of NYUs Dental School, will be here to shed some light on Washington as well as some of the issues confronting us non-presidents teeth.

If you have any questions about oral surgery, dentures, implants or bridges? Wonder whether your dentist is right, and if so, what it means?

Give us a call at 1-877-NYU-DOCS

After this, we're going to continue with our above the neck segment. Ronald Reagan passed away with Alzheimer's disease. A new study indicates that a Mediterranean Diet may help prevent Alzheimer's disease or slow its progression! Find out more with me and Dr. Keith Siller, the Medical Director of the NYU Comprehensive Stroke Center! (We'll ask him about Wilson's stroke, time permitting too!)

If you have any questions about Alzheimers disease prevention, now would be a great time to call. Our phone number at is 1-877-NYU-DOCS!

Then, exercise. Many President's have been exercise afficiandos, including our present one! But does Mr. Obama exercise with the First Lady? Belisa Vranich, PhyD, the Sport's Psychology Expert for the Gold's Gym Fitness Institute, will be with us in studio to talk about the benefits of a Couple's Workout. Given that my wife can run circles around me, I'm more than a little curious to hear what she has to say!

Finally, it will be a Presidential Ask Dr. Ira, where I will answer your questions on any medical topic as well as go through some of the interesting cases that I have seen in my own office.

Tomorrow, February 9th, 2009 on the Doctor Ira Breite Show on Sirius 114/XM 119

Its a beautiful day in New York City, proving that Staten Island Chuck is the groundhog to listen too! So, to spite Punxsutawney Phil we are going to have an early Spring show, featuring the things you'll need to take care of as the good weather comes.

First that blood pressure. So confusing to so many people, yet so important. We'll be talking with Dr. Henry Black, the President of the American Society of Hypertension about what those numbers mean, what you can do both medically and lifestyle-wise to get those numbers under control, and even when to look for another cause for the elevated blood pressure. Our phone number is 1-877-NYU-DOCS, where we will be happy to answer YOUR blood pressure questions.

The spring signals an end to imported fruits and lousy winter onions. But are you allergic to any of those foods? Doctor's (including me) have looked puzzled over this fact for many years: its time to get some answers! Helping me to answer YOUR questions about food allergies is Dr. Paul Ehrlich, who has written "What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Children's Allergies and Asthma: Simple Steps to Help Stop Attacks and Improve Your Child's Health." If you, or a loved one, thinks they have food allergies, this would be a great time to call us at 1-877-NYU-DOCS.

Finally, if you're like me, you are thinking about getting a few of those winter pounds off (OK, more than a few, but I am trying to be optimistic!) . Doctor Ira Breite show regular Sari Greaves, RD will be on to talk about some new studies and help me (and you) with our diets. Call us at 1-877 NYU DOCS and we will be happy to answer your questions.

Of course, there's always time for ask Dr. Ira. This week, we have a really interesting case. You'll have to listen to hear about it, but all of you Ted Nugent fans will be thrilled. Call me with ANY MEDICAL QUESTION at all at 1-877-NYU-DOCS.
