Monday, October 2, 2017 on the Doctor Ira Breite Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology Show on SiriusXM 110: Doctor Radio!

Did you know it National Medical Librarians month.  I will not lie; I didn't, but I'm glad I know know.  In an age of Google, medical librarians remain an important part of Medicine not only in research but in patient care as well.  Join me as I speak with Jeffrey Williams, MLIS, AHIP, the Deputy Director of the NYU Health Sciences Library and Barbara Epstein, MSLS, the Director of the Health Sciences Library System at the University of Pittsburgh and the President of the Medical Library Association.

Find out about what medical librarians do and give us a call at 1-877-NYU-DOCS if you are looking for ways to get medical info (besides listening to Doctor Radio, of course).

After this, its Gastroenterology Update, where you can ask (or tweet) me all of your digestive disease questions!

Although I sometimes feel a bit like a country doctor at my office, I'm smart enough to know that I can easily refer anyone anywhere at almost any time.  Pretty good deal. But what if you are the only doctor for miles around? Or that doctor's patient?  Join me as I speak with Dr. David F. Schmitz, the President of the National Rural Health Association about treating, and being treated, in rural areas.

We will end the show with Ask Doctor Ira, where you can ask me any medical question on any topic at all: anything you forgot to ask your doctor ask me!  Give me a call at 1-877-NYU-DOCS!
