After that we will have digestive disease Update, where I will tell you the latest and greatest in the world of gastroenterology and answer your questions at 1-877-NYU-DOCS!

While Thanksgiving is not known as a drinking holiday, lots of us have that relative who always seems to have a wee bit to much to drink.  Or maybe a bit more.  Curiously, some people seem to react severely even to a single sip.  Join me as I speak with Dr. Howard Edenberg, PhD, of Indiana University School of Medicine.  Dr. Edenberg studies the genetics of alcoholism and how alcohol exposure affects gene expression in the brain.  He also helped elucidate the Alcohol Flush Reaction, where people turn blotchy or red after having a drink.

We will end the show with Ask Doctor Ira, where you can ask me any question on any medical topic at all: anything you forgot to ask your doctor ask me!  Give a call at 1-877-DOCS or send me a tweet!
