Monday, January 11th on The Doctor Ira Breite Show on Sirius 114 and XM 119: Doctor Radio!

We have quite the literary show planned for Monday! Over the years, we have interviewed many people on presidential health issues. Dr. Steven Lomazo, the author of "FDR's Deadly Secret," is coming in to tell us all about his new book. While we currently know perhaps a bit too much about our politicians, in those days a man could run a war, be in his fourth term and still not have anyone really talk about the fact that he couldn't walk. What else didn't the American People know? You'll have to find out!

Turning from the historical and interesting to the current day and a bit scary and gross, Dr Renee Godard and Amy White, both of Hollins University will be joining us to talk about soda fountains. If you haven't thought much about them, you will when you discover what Dr. Godard grew out of them!

If you have any questions about food born disease, give us a call at 1-877-NYU-DOCS!

Then onto the big! Dr. Garth Davis, a bariatric surgeon featured on Discovery Channel's "Big Medicine" will be on the air to talk about his experiences as a surgeon and to answer your questions about surgical weight loss! Dr. Davis is also the author of the "The Expert's Guide to Weight Loss Surgery: Is it Right For Me?"

If you have any questions at all about weight loss surgery, give the show a call at 1-877-NYU-DOCS!

Of course, we will end the show with a special "post-call" edition of Ask Dr. Ira. Call me with any questions on any medical topic at all! 1-877-NYU-DOCS.
