Monday, February 11th, 2013 on the Doctor Ira Breite Show on SiriusXM 81: Doctor Radio!

While we dodged a lot of snow here in New York City, many people in New England were severely hampered by Friday's snowstorm.  But compared to what happens in Alaska, we here in the Northeast are still a bit amateurish in the winter department.  Join me and Erin McLarnon, the Spokesperson for the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race and the Norman Vaughn Serum Run as we talk about how those sledding rapidly through Alaska started as Serum Runners, who delivered diphtheria serum.

Valentines Day is coming and we are ready for it here on Doctor Radio!  Jared Brown and Anistatia Miller, the co-directors of Mixellany Limited will be joining us again to talk about combining wine, liquor and chocolate.  Although I'm not totally sure what this has to do with health, I'm willing to give it a go.  And, if nothing else, I will be making my wife happy this Thursday!

Speaking of Valentines Day, what do you do when you don't want your chocolate dark?  And you have "problems" with milk?  Dr. Julie Wang, an allergist at Mount Sinai and a member of the Jaffee Food Allergy Institute will be talking to us about lactose allergies, lactose intolerance and what it all means.

Worried about lactose or milk: give us a call at 1-877-NYU-DOCS.

We will end the show, as always, with "Ask Doctor Ira," where you can ask me about any medical question on any medical topic at all...give me a call at 1-877-NYU-DOCS or tweet me!
