Monday, December 12th,2016 on the Doctor Ira Breite Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology Show on SiriusXM 110: Doctor Radio!

A quick rundown on tomorrow's show as I watch the Giant's Game.  Dr. Viviana Figueroa Diaz, an assistant professor and Gastroenterologist at NYU will be coming in to talk about liver disease.  Whether its viruses, fat or alcohol, there are many common causes of liver disease out there.  Call us with your liver questions at 1-877-NYU-DOCS.  After this, we will expand the conversation with Gastroenterology Update, where I will tell you the latest and greatest in the world of digestive disease and answer your questions on all things digestive!

Last week I commented that the BMI didn't like me and I didn't like the BMI.  Yes, its easy to do but what does it really mean?  Join me and Dr. Melina Jampolis, as we talk about the body composition analysis, another way to measure your body fat and composition.  Is it real?  Let's find out.

We will end the show, as usual, with Ask Doctor Ira, where you can ask me any medical question on any topic at all: anything that you forgot to ask your doctor ask me! Give us a call at 1-877-NYU-DOCS!

Please speak about the use of coconut oil for constipation. I think Miralax burns, which is why I wonder if coconut oil will work and how much?
