Monday, January 23, 2012 on The Doctor Ira Breite Show on Sirius XM 81: Doctor Radio

Back again! What is it with all of these 3 day weekends! We have a great show planned for you.

We're going to start with something I'm not sure I believe in. Dr. Edward Conley is an alternative medicine expert and has just written “LIFE CHANGERS: 10 Painless High Tech Tests That Can Change Your Life.” Join us as we talk about these tests, and whether they really end up being painless or not!

After this we'll have Gastroenterology Update. So much is new in the world of GI, you are not going to believe it...and call us with your questions at 1-877-NYU-DOCS!

Being a patient is not easy. Being a caregiver is even harder. Taking care of aging parents and sick spouses is not easy. Join me and clinical bio-ethicist and author Viki Kind as we talk about taking care of loved ones and her new book, "The Caregiver's Path To Compassionate Decision Making: Making Choices For Those Who Can't."

Need advice on caring for a sick loved one? Give us a call at 1-877-NYU-DOCS!

We will end the show with Ask Doctor Ira, where you can ask me any medical question on any topic and I will be happy to answer it: anything you forgot to ask your doctor ask me!

Give me a call at 1-877-NYU-DOCS!

Hello

How can we find a show that was aired on January 2 of this year and listen to it again? I am looking for the name of your guest doctor. Thank you.

I was only able to catch the last part of your show this morning with Dr Conley but was very interested in learning more. I've googled his book for reviews and have only found one. I was curious as to how valuable you believe his book to be?

I am not a huge fan of alternative medicine. There are too many gaps in traditional medicine!

1/2/12 repeat show could not catch all of it. The dr. has been on before, you were surprised when he said he had gastric bypass years ago. He spoke about gastric bypass and other issues but mentioned dry coughs people have as only symptom of something else. Do not think it was reflux. You *seemed* a bit surprised. Wish to find out his name. I think he works at NYU. Very pleasant. Is there a way for me to hear the broadcast again in storage on line or can you find out who your guest was they repeated 1/2/12? Thank you! Big help if yes. I have had a dry cough problem for years but it is not reflux nor pulmonary. He said they have seen an increase in this.
